• OMSA is the only pre-independence Government of orissa, recognized association ( Regd. No. 5309/POLL , 29th June 1946 ) comprising more than 4200 member Doctors.

•  Its Member belongs to Orissa Medical and Health Services cadre.

• We work round the clock in more than 1700 Health Institutions situated in nook and corner of the state including three Medical Colleges.

• We Prevent and treat various diseases affecting the population of the state. In addition to that we perform Post-Mortem , Medico-Legal cases , VIP/Protocol duties and implement more than 26 National Programs on Health .

• We also work during flood and cyclone to prevent epidemics.

• We organize OMSA Health Camps to provide medical and treatment facilities to the ailing population  in in-accessible areas during their spare time.

• We are managing most of the Blood Banks of the state.
